ALIBETOPIAS 2023: Innovation in Food Systems
Held on October 26th in Madrid, ALIBETOPIAS 2023 showcased the latest innovations in the Food and Drink sector. Organized by the Spanish Food and Drink Federation, the event gathered over 300 attendees and featured top industry speakers discussing trends in digitalization, sustainability, and innovation, while promoting I-RESTART’s strive for sustainable development.
Food 4 Future – Expo FoodTech 2024: Bilbao Foodtech World Summit
From April 16-18, 2024, Food 4 Future in Bilbao brought together 287 exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations in sustainability, food science, and safety. The event served as a platform for discussing new trends in FoodTech and solutions to improve business competitiveness, such as upskilling workers and fostering digital transitions. FIAB, in partnership with the Technological Platform Food for Life Spain, shared the progress of the I-RESTART project, focusing on sustainability and workforce development in the agri-food sector.
Pact for Skills workshop 13-14 of May 2025
At the Agri-Food Pact for Skills Annual Event held in Brussels on 13–14 May 2025, the I-RESTART project was presented by Luis Mayor from the ISEKI-Food Association. His presentation, “Converting Skill Needs into Training Opportunities in the Agri-Food Sector: The I-RESTART Experience,” showcased the project’s bottom-up strategy for upskilling and reskilling the agri-food workforce.
I-RESTART in Alimentaria, Barcelona 25 of March 2026
Thanks to the Spanish Food and Drink Federation (FIAB), at ALIBER 2026 in Barcelona, the I-RESTART project took centre stage by showcasing how reskilling and innovation can transform the future of the agri-food sector. Presented by Professor Remigio Berruto from the University of Turin, the project highlighted forward-looking strategies to equip workers with the digital and sustainability skills needed in a rapidly evolving industry. Through collaboration between industry, academia, and public stakeholders, I-RESTART is helping to build a smarter, greener, and more resilient agri-food workforce for the future. Find out more!
Pact for Skills workshop 21 of April 2026
On April 21, in Brussels, the I-RESTART project participated in the Agrifood Pact for Skills Annual Event, where it received special recognition within the programme of activities. As the project nears its conclusion, the focus has shifted from simply presenting results to engaging industry professionals in discussions on how to improve and sustain the project’s long-term impact across the agri-food value chain.
